What do you think of her opinions?

Words of Today include: wimp, "halo effect", telegenic, photogenic, thin/thick-skinned.

What do you know about South Korean culture in terms of attitudes toward working women?

  1. I think the same culture could be seen in the past in Japan. There were many competent women but they had no chance to come out in the society since their role was to take care family member and house chores. But to get their civil right and equal opportunity, some women stood up and voiced out for their opportunity. Then we, women, are now free from some harassment or abusement from male, although they are not completedly removed.
Korean women should stand up for their equal opportunity.

By the way, I used to work at a multinational affiliated company and in our Korea office, there was a competent women working and taking care of her family and kids. Was it because our company was foreign affiliated (US based) company or she lived in town not in country side?
